Aloha everyone!
It's Friday, which means that over at An Island Life it is time for Aloha Friday. In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that they take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So on Fridays we take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, she asks a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response. Then everyone else asks a simple question of their own blog for others to answer.
So this is MY very first Ragdoll Cat Mom Edition of Aloha Friday. YAY! My question is this: If you have furbabies--what do you do with them when you go on vacation? Do you board them? Do you have a friend petsit them (just once a day or do you have them also housesit as well?) If you don't have any animals, have you ever taken care of a pet for a family or friend who went on vacation? Tell me your experiences! How do you feel about pets and vacation?? Don't be shy--Muffin and I are waiting to hear your comments...

When I go on vacation I have a friend that takes care of my cats.
We have someone come stay at our house and take care of the pets.
We have one cat and when we go on vacation we have a friend cover over every night to make sure she has water/food and take care of the litter box.

First of all, let me explain about the cat that lives at our house - Miss Molly - the Priss! We are just babysitting her for our son who now lives in LA,CA ~ she was his ex-girlfriend's cat ~ it's been almost 4 yrs ~ so I think she might be staying for good??!! LOL ~ Anyhow, I am so lucky to have a friend and neighbor whose cat died, but she always helps me out when we are gone and comes over everyday etc. Sometimes she never even sees the cat!
have a friend pet sit.
I have a friend who keeps my dog at her house and then she stops in to feed my two cats, change their litter and give them some lovin. We're actually leaving for the beach on the 15th, YAY!
When we all go together (for spring break the kids & I are going to visit my family but Hubby has to work. *boo*) we have neighbors who come take care of the animals. The actually bring their pets over too so that it's kinda like a party for the pets. Our critters love it!
Welcome to Aloha Friday!
No furbabies here. I grew up with birds. My parents would always have a relative or neighbor come in to take care of them. They would ask for music or something to be put on to keep them company as well.
Everyone in my family who is allowed pets has cats. My parents have 4, we have 4, and my aunt has 2. So we make sure vacations don't overlap and we each take turns feeding and playing with each others cats while the other is on vacation. Works out great since the cats already know us. And I fostered the 2 my aunt has so we are buddies. :)
